NEXT DREAM TRIP TO MALDIVEs / SOUTH ATOLS
March 28 – April 6, 2026
April 6 – April 15, 2026
THE BOAT / OUR FLOATING HOME
The Maldives archipelago is pure magic — a tropical dreamscape of turquoise waters, coral lagoons, and palm-fringed islands. With Mondo Mandala, we invite you to experience it all from the comfort of our spacious, multi-story liveaboard boat. Onboard, our warm and professional crew ensures that every detail is taken care of — from delicious meals to smooth sailing — so you can fully relax and enjoy the journey.
Your host, Villa Mandala’s Mikko, has curated a beautiful selection of daily adventures, including:
Morning and evening yoga, led by Villa Mandala’s Mia Jokiniva, surrounded by the sea and sky
Snorkeling and SUP excursions over shimmering reefs
Visits to pristine, uninhabited islands
Access to the luxurious spa services of a top Maldivian resort (subject to availability)
Unlimited surfing for all levels — from gentle beginner waves to powerful, world-class breaks
Each day begins (if you wish) with a revitalizing yoga session to awaken your body and mind, guided by Mia’s deep expertise and presence. And as the sun sets, we gather again for a calming, restorative practice under the stars — letting the ocean’s rhythm support rest, release, and renewal.
While there’s a variety of inspiring activities to choose from, the heart of this trip is ease, freedom, and flow. It’s designed especially for those seeking a stress-free, rejuvenating holiday — drifting between islands at a gentle pace, soaking in the sunshine, and savoring the beauty all around you.
No pressure, no rush — just space to breathe, move, and be.
Here’s our fleet of boats. With these 3 assisting boats we can arrange our program for everyone simultaneously.
Rooms for 2 people and all rooms have AC and a bathroom. We eat breakfast and lunch indoors and dinner on the second deck outdoor area.
DAY TRIPS
During our stay on a spacious, four-deck liveaboard boat – where every guest has their own comfortable, air-conditioned cabin – we head out each day on unique excursions that reveal the soul of the Maldivian archipelago.
Each day, we visit either:
• A deserted island, untouched and wild,
• A snorkelling destination, unlimited selection of wonderful reefs
• A local island, home to traditional Maldivian communities, or
• Occasionally, a nearby resort island, where guests can enjoy spa services or relax by the pool.
The true highlights are our visits to the pristine, uninhabited islands of the southern atolls. These are true natural paradises, often completely undeveloped. Imagine a small tropical island ringed with powdery white sand, surrounded by a shallow, turquoise lagoon – a warm, natural swimming pool (28°C / 82°F) with palm trees swaying in the breeze.
We bring everything we need for the day: beach umbrellas, snorkel gear, paddleboards, hammocks, picnic lunches – and of course, good company. Whether you’re swimming, lounging in the sun, exploring the reef, or simply soaking in the peaceful atmosphere, these day trips are unforgettable.
Every day offers simply the most beautifull perspective of the Maldives – some days filled with activity, others with pure stillness and simplicity. You’re free to choose your own pace.

SURFING
One of the highlights of this trip is the opportunity to surf some of the world’s best waves. The clear, warm water and peaceful surroundings make surfing here an almost utopian experience. While gentler than Indonesia’s more powerful swells, the Maldivian waves are incredibly fun — even for advanced surfers.
We’ve also discovered excellent beginner-friendly spots in the area. Depending on the conditions, the group can split up and surf at different locations to ensure everyone gets the most out of their day. Alongside our main vessel, we have two support boats that allow for flexible planning and multiple simultaneous activities.

SUSTAINABILITY
At Villa Mandala, sustainability is a priority — both in how we travel and how we engage with the local environment and communities. We’re committed to responsible tourism and expect the same from our partners.
To us, sustainability means respecting people, nature, marine life, our local partners, and our guests. It means making conscious choices — from minimizing waste to advocating for environmental protection and cultural respect.
Tourism and fishing are the two main livelihoods in the Maldives. The boats we use are modern and designed to minimize environmental impact — far more so than many traditional vessels. Tourism is also a tool for positive change: through our daily interactions and partnerships with locals, we aim to help shape the future of responsible travel in the region.
We actively support marine conservation, recycling initiatives, and animal welfare. Our trips consume significantly fewer resources than resort-based holidays, yet still employ many local professionals. Our partner organization collaborates with both local and international NGOs, contributing to education, marine protection, and public health projects.
As our own drop in the ocean, we donate a portion of our profits to Greenpeace’s ocean protection fund. Each trip includes a voluntary Island Clean-Up Day, organized in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans. Guests are invited to join us in collecting plastic waste from beaches, which is then responsibly recycled.
